Welcome to Miss Carrie's Piano Studio! Deciding to enroll your child in Piano Lessons is such an exciting time--I'm glad you found yourself here! Throughout my first 8 years of experience as a piano teacher, I've learned that lessons have to meet the child where they are, and go from there. Piano lessons shouldn't necessarily be ALL fun, but there should be tons of joy and excitement surrounding them. Children will learn better this way. A traditional 45 minute lesson, sitting at a piano bench throughout the entire lesson, doesn't always work for every child. So I meet them at their level. I always have engaging and creative games and activities on hand to enhance the lesson and give your child EVERY opportunity to succeed and understand the material. Also in my experience, I've found my area of specialty--working with the youngest little beginners. I've had the most hesitant first-timers, in tears in their cars not wanting to take the leap and come in, and within a few minutes of activities and songs and the supportive learning environment I've created, they were engaged and happy as can be! Not wanting to leave their first lesson! 

Some background: I hold a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Youngstown State University and have been teaching private piano lessons for 8 years. I am originally from Ohio and now live here in Jacksonville, FL with my husband, our two babies Harper and Hayden, and our kitty Izabella and puppy Stella!
